Julia

Julia Dunn, MS, LAPC

Therapist

As a therapist, I treat adolescents and adults walking through a challenging part of their lives: instilling hope, building on strengths and capacities, and working together on goals to move forward. I see clients for concerns such as anxiety, depression, relational issues, difficulty with self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions. I explore areas of spirituality, identity development, and career planning for those who feel stuck or inauthentic.

I use a person-centered approach, using evidence-based methods to frame our work together (including CBT, narrative, existential, IFS, and humanistic models). I provide a warm, inviting space for you to feel heard, valued, and accepted for exactly who you are. I bring connection and creativity into the therapeutic environment and I feel called to partner with others to find relief from the weight that they are carrying.

I hold a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Georgia along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My experience in multiple settings, including private practice, community clinics, summer camps, and educational spaces widens my vision for clients to include their environment and their life’s work. I am currently an associate-licensed professional and under the administrative and clinical supervision of Stacy Froelich, LCSW, and Amanda Marks, LPC, CPCS, as I pursue independent licensure.
